Louise Delanghe (b. 1994), a graduate of KASK, Ghent, where she earned her Master in Fine Arts with a focus on graphic design, stands as a distinctive and compelling figure within the contemporary art world.
In the continuity of the afterglow, when the light rises and the world shifts from night to day or vice versa, I constantly seek the gap where life and painting are one. Each act is a note, a capture of something that is or was—both a longing to preserve that "something" and a desire to tear it apart. It is a true ritual, this dance with the swinging tendencies of being. This body of work is a search for endless colored peaks, where each new dive is yet another leap into the shallow white unknown. Paint moves, shifts, transforms—much like the moments it tries to hold.
Always searching. Always becoming.
