Jakob Van den Broucke (b. 1983) has an educational background in sociology, development studies and librarianship. On his way 2 ideas he gradually got involved in the elaboration of a web of reifiable entities inquiring and realising the new, the now and the how question. Jakob processes words, images, paper and organic waste on a daily basis. Recurring methods are inversion, piling, cutting, omitting, associative and diagrammatic thinking and collaborative efforts, which are externalised in the form of subjects, objects, A4s, photographs, publications, actions, installations and texts.
Since 2020, he has been developing Temporary Information Center together with Kasper Demeulemeester, a dynamic and synergistic thinking space and organisational formula in which collaboration, accumulation of knowledge and aesthetic production can coincide.
