Op vrijdag 26 april:
om 18:30u is er een feestelijk openingsdiner voor deelnemende kunstenaars en gecureerde figuren uit het kunstenveld om samen te komen rond een eettafel van Ramona Vangrinsven.
Na afloop, om 20:30 start het 'Free de Mer Bal’ en is de groepstentoonstelling ‘Vismarkt’ - die geheel draait rond Zeevruchten - het onderwaterwezen bij uitbreiding, officieel geopend.
Op zaterdag 4 mei zal de happening worden afgesloten door Melissa Mabesoone met een garnalencocktail aan feiten uit de "shrimp business", in de vorm van een spreekbeurt én gevolgd door een auction door Marianne Hoet (Head of Business Development bij veilinghuis Phillips) om 16u.
julienneirynck.be.mayamertens.nl is een sinds 2016 actief kunstenaarsduo ontstaan uit de creatieve samenwerking tussen Maya Mertens (1992) en Julien Neirynck (1993). Hun werk omvat een veelheid aan performances, beeldende acties, voorstellingen en op maat gemaakte beeldende kunstprojecten. Met een voorliefde voor grilligheid en het combineren van verschillende disciplines evolueert hun universum voortdurend.

SCAMPI GALLERY is an event driven by the seemingly innate love for seafood of Julien Neirynck and Maya Mertens, accompanied by a group exhibition curated by them on the same theme.
By delving into the symbolic value of seafood (in Belgian art history), julienneirynck.be.mayamertens.nl will completely take over the Pizza Gallery with:
On Friday, April 26th
At 6:30 pm, there will be a festive opening dinner for participating artists and curated figures from the art scene to gather around a dinner table by Ramona Vangrinsven.
Following this, at 8:30 pm, the 'Free de Mer Ball' will commence, and the group exhibition 'Vismarkt' - entirely revolving around seafood and the underwater world by extension - will be officially opened.
On Saturday, May 4th, the event will be concluded by Melissa Mabesoone with a shrimp cocktail of facts from the "shrimp business," in the form of a presentation followed by an auction by Marianne Hoet (Head of Business Development at Phillips Auction House) at 4 pm.
